Captain Harlock “the Cougar” Duress is a trusted civil servant and the man you want on your side in a fight. He is clever, cunning, and skilled. He is advisor of the king and beloved by his men. He values life, justice, and and fair judgement. He is as strong as ever in his mid-thirties. His once black hair, is now salt and pepper, same as his beard. His armor as head captain is a bluish steal chestplate. His full-plate battle-dress is reserved for special occasions. He is a talented horseman and enjoyes dressage in his off- hours, few though they may be.
His wife was killed 8 years ago when he was just a city watchman. Alice was at the fishmarket when a ship full of mindwiped gibbering men stormed the dock murdering everyone. She was run through by a flaming sword while Harlock tried to reach her. He tore the burning blade from her still breast and savagely attacked the marauders. Since that day, Harlock has trained mercilessly, pushing himself to be a stronger and faster fighter so that perhaps he can spare someone else the hurts he has endured. He had the same sword reforged and calls it the Alice Damascus. He laments the deaths that he caused and visits the murderers grave as well as that of his fallen beloved.
